지난 1월 20일 개강한 Los Angeles 소재 남가주대학 (University of Southern Califiornia) 부설 어학원 Language Academy의 봄학기에는 세계 23개 국가에서 총 194명의 학생이 등록하였다 합니다.

학생들은 일본, 스위스, 멕시코, 이태리 혼듀라스, 베트남, 브라질, 타이랜드 사우디 아라비아 중국. 프랑스 쿠웨이트 등에서 참석하였으여 한국에서도 소수의 인원이 참석하였습니다.

Language Academy 의 원장이신 Kate O’Connor  는 봄학기에 많은 인원이 등록하고 국적이 다양하게 이루어 진 점에 대하여 매우 만족해 하고 있습니다. 아래는 메일 전문 입니다.

On Wednesday, January 20, the Language Academy welcomed 194 students from 23 countries to the start of its Spring 2010 semester. This is the largest spring semester cohort the Academy has instructed to date, and the Director Kate O’Connor is pleased with the strong academic preparation and diversity of the students. “We are particularly delighted with the level of scholarship these students are demonstrating and with their sincere desire to befriend those from other countries. The diversity is wonderful,” stated O’Connor. 168 full-time students and 26 graduate-cohort and part-time students make up the new class. Students arrived from Japan, Switzerland, Mexico, Italy, Honduras, Vietnam, Brazil, Thailand, Saudi Arabia, China, France, and Kuwait, among others.
